A classy oceanside destination wedding, with some moody Fall touches make up this unique and beautiful Southern Maine wedding!

6 years ago, Alex used to see Devon at the pool in Florida when she went to visit her Mom. For awhile, she referred to him as “the cute boy at the pool”, and one day worked up the nerve to go down to the pool and introduce herself! They were engaged in January 2020 on a vacation to Maine at one of their favorite spots, the lighthouse at Two Lights State Park in Cape Elizabeth. I had the honor of being there in the freezing cold that day to capture the big moment that she said ‘Yes’! They knew they wanted to bring their friends and family back up to Maine for their dream New England wedding. Devon and Alex fell in love with the Nonantum Resort in Kennebunk, especially that it was right on the water. Alex loves the more moody and dark things about fall, and she incorporated that beautifully into her wedding day with some darker red tones, black candles, and she even pulled out a black veil and black jean jacket for a few moody couple portraits! She carried a bouquet with some photos of close family members who had passed away, and I love that they were able to be with her that day! Devon took a sailboat ride around the harbor with some of his friends and family, arriving to the ceremony in style!
