Every now and then, it’s important to do something for YOU.  For me, that sometimes means photographing a styled wedding that can inspire brides for their own big day, as well as highlight potential vendors for them to hire for their wedding.

Recently, I was able to do just that!  I attended the Workshop Experience, put on by Nicole Colwell Photography.  In addition to learning more about the technical and business side of photography, she also put together this beautiful inspiration shoot!

And just wait until you see this venue!  I first came across Evergreen Wedding Chapel while browsing through Facebook, and I immediately knew that I HAD to shoot there!  A freestanding chapel in the middle of a grove of evergreen trees?  Yes, please!!  (In fact, I’ve been talking to my husband about possibly doing our own vow renewal here sometime in the next few years!).

As someone who typically thrives on photographing soft, pastel colors, I was surprised by how much I was drawn to the deep purple, blue, gold, and cranberry colors that infused this styled shoot.  I can’t thank the vendors who contributed to this shoot enough!  The other photographers and I definitely had eaten all of those delicious donuts and whoopie pies, handmade by Nothing Bakes Like A Parrot, before we even finished shooting!  Angela Burns did a FANTASTIC job of designing this setup, and enlisted each of the vendors, like Blush Bridal & Formal of Bangor, who provided the gorgeous dress!  I just about died when I saw the sheer sleeves!  Fairwinds Florist came all the way down to Gotham from Blue Hill to provide not only the bouquet, but also the gorgeous green drapery on the windows, as well as the greenery and colorful fruits and vegetables that she creatively draped over the table.  I loved everything about this shoot, and I’m excited to share it with you all!
