Nate and Darcie are high school sweethearts, so you can imagine the excitement in the air on the chilly March afternoon they chose to wed!  We had hoped for snow, but the weather was unexpectedly warm that day, which everyone was thankful for while we were outside taking pictures after the ceremony, as we chased the sunset!

Nate proposed to Darcie on a hike in one of their favorite camping areas – Moosehead Lake in Maine.  On the morning of their wedding, they exchanged handwritten love notes to each other – how sweet is that?!  You can tell that they love being surrounded by their friends and family.  Nate’s seven groomsmen and Darcie’s seven bridesmaids kept them smiling and laughing all day!  Darcie made a STUNNING bride!  They were married at St. Mary’s Church in Augusta, Maine – a breathtaking church on the outside, and the inside doesn’t disappoint either, with it’s cathedral ceilings and beautiful stained glass windows.  I love watching the parents of the bride and groom on the wedding day and all the emotions that come along with watching your son or daughter grow up right in front of your eyes!  There were an abundance of tears from everyone during the parent dances that night at the reception, which took place at the Augusta Civic Center Ballroom.  There was also an abundance of laughter – some of which came along during the different points in the day when TWO groomsmen managed to split their pants open – I won’t tell which ones 😉  Kevin Duran, a DJ from Double Platinum Celebrations, kept the dance floor busy all night, and everyone loved the cake from Bun Bun’s Cake Shop in Brunswick.  My second shooter, Lauren DelVecchio, of LAD Photography, did a great job helping me document the day, and shared her talent with me to help me create some breathtaking shots at night in front of the church!  Thank you, Nate and Darcie, for trusting me to capture your amazing day!
