It was a gorgeous, sunny and warm afternoon on the coast of Maine.  I arrived to Nate and Romnie’s home in Owl’s Head, Maine, and was welcomed in with kindness and smiles.  The children were building with legos in their bedroom, and family members were sitting around laughing and catching up on their lives.

I first met Nate and Romnie when we attended the same church together in Augusta for awhile.  I photographed their family when they were pregnant with their youngest, Emanuel, in Hallowell, and I was thrilled when they asked me to photograph their 15 year vow renewal.  They had planned a simple, intimate affair in their backyard, overlooking the beautiful ocean.  Their oldest, Leo, walked his Mommy down the aisle.  Romnie and Nate wrote their own vows, and I may have seen them tear up once or twice 🙂 Afterwards, we took a few photos while the rest of the family prepared a hearty barbecue meal.  It was such a lovely day, I hope you enjoy the photos!
