Adam and Anna’s Warwick Country Club Wedding | Warwick, Rhode Island, Wedding Photographer

Weddings

A modern, yet classic, nautical-inspired wedding on the Rhode Island coast – a windy and fun wedding day!

Adam first reached out to me last June, asking me to photograph his proposal to Anna when they came up to Maine from Boston in a few weeks. We will skip through the part where I showed up to the wrong location, and Adam had to stall while I hurried over to the correct spot – but in the end, Adam proposed to Anna on the footbridge in Ogunquit on a beautifully sunny July day. They had their brand new golden retriever puppy with them, who of course made it into many of the photos! I was thrilled when they reached out and asked me to come to Rhode Island for their wedding this year. They told me about how they had met at the beginning of the Covid pandemic, and it just so happened to fall into place where they ended up spending most of the lockdown time together. They really got to know each other quickly after being cooped up in a tiny apartment while the world around them was mostly shut down. What I noticed about Adam and Anna during the times I spent with them was how they truly seem like each other’s best friend. They seem to have this beautiful connection and really bring out the best in the other!

The morning of their wedding, I was getting out of my car at the hotel, and was practically blown away by a huge gust of wind. That’s when I knew this was going to be an interesting day weather-wise! The girls were busy getting their hair and makeup done (while enjoying some Wendy’s chicken nuggets of course), and when I mentioned the weather, Anna had such a great attitude about it. She is such a positive person and nothing was going to ruin her spirits that day! She was picked up from the hotel in a vintage 1958 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith, which her Dad helped her out of when she arrived to the venue. The groom and his groomsmen were getting their boutonnières on in the Men’s lounge at the country club. Adam and Anna chose to do a first look out on the golf course, followed by the wedding party photos and family formals. The benefit of doing all of these pre-ceremony was that they were able to join most of their cocktail hour to spend more time with their guests! The 30mph wind was fairly intense during photos, but everyone laughed through their hair being blown around like crazy (even after some last minute hairspray applications)! Anna’s sister could barely contain her tears as Anna walked down the aisle (so sweet!), but she was somewhat distracted by trying to contain Anna’s long cathedral veil, which had a mind of its own and was blowing all over the place! After the ceremony, the couple was able to take some time for just the two of them down by the water. The beautiful seashell-lined shore was the perfect backdrop for romantic photos! The reception space was just stunning, and lent perfectly to the nautical, classy, and modern vibe that Anna and Adam wanted for their wedding. The food was delicious, the hydranga cupcake were beautiful, there was a fun ice cream bar, and the amazing DJ team kept the guests up and dancing late into the night – the perfect ending to the perfect wedding day!

Thank you so much, Adam and Anna, for trusting me to capture your special day! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Zinger!
