A stunning and elegant mountain wedding at one of Maine’s best ski resorts!

Jillian and Kyle met while they were both bartending at an Irish Pub 5 years ago. They hit it off and dated for 3 years. One day, Kyle took Jillian on a hot air balloon ride in the Quiche Gorge in Vermont. While up in the air, Kyle proposed to Jillian, and she said, ‘Yes’! Then their balloon crashed, fell into some trees, and they almost fell out of the basket. What a day to remember! They wanted to have their wedding in the mountains, and fell in love with the Sunday River area. I met with Jill and Kyle last summer at Fort Williams in Cape Elizabeth. We explored the park together and got some gorgeous engagement photos with the sunset setting over the water behind them. We connected over how we’re all cat people, and they shared photos of their beloved kitty, Mickey, with me!

Jill and Kyle were married on a beautiful July afternoon. Although they didn’t have a formal bridal party, they still had their closest friends getting ready with them in their hotel suites that morning. They chose to do a first look, and you can really see the emotion in that moment before they see each other for the first time. Surrounded by beautiful mountain views at the Sunday River Golf Course, they didn’t seem to mind the wind blowing, warning of the approaching clouds and rain. It started sprinkling right before the ceremony, but the sun shone down while they said their vows that day. You’ll definitely want to see the epic photos of the “flower bros” at the beginning of the ceremony, complete with flower petal cannons! At their reception, they were surrounded with love with all of their closest friends and family. And when the dance floor opened, it stayed packed for the rest of the night! I love the glow sticks and props that the guests were given – it made things extra fun!
