Whites and navy blues accompanied this event perfectly, which was a sophisticated take on a backyard wedding in a beautiful coastal Maine neighborhood.
Anne and Jonathan had to reschedule their wedding several times due to Covid, so we were all so excited when their wedding date finally arrived! Although the forecast had been showing rain all week, we were thrilled when the day arrived with only cloudy skies. I met up with Anne at the house she was getting ready at with her sister and other family members. Their dog, Sadie, greeted me as I entered the home. Jon and his best man played a round of golf that morning, and then got ready at the Colony Hotel in Kennebunkport. The ceremony was held at St. Martin’s in the Field, a beautiful and quaint chapel on the golf course that Jon and Anne love. Afterwards, guests gathered in the backyard of a local home, where a beautiful tent and delicious appetizers awaited them. It started sprinkling slightly during dinner, a wonderfully prepared meal by Big Tree Catering, but by that time, everyone was happily mingling under the tent and enjoying their meal. Once the dance floor opened, I don’t think the bride and groom stopped dancing all night! Scroll down to see the photos from this amazing day, and don’t miss the custom wedding license plates, and the miniature version of Sadie on the cake!
Thank you so much, Anne and Jonathan, for trusting me to capture your special day! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. MacPhee!
