When I first heard of this gorgeous new barn venue, I knew I had to see it.  The best part is that it’s right in Winthrop – the next town over from where I grew up, and only 15 minutes from where I live now in Augusta!

One of my close friends had met the owners of this barn, and booked the venue for her own wedding in October.  I contacted the owner, and we were able to set up a casual styled shoot there.  I met several other photographers, and a few previous clients of mine got all dolled up, and we met there on a rainy July afternoon.  It didn’t dampen our spirits though, as even in the rain, this gorgeous barn venue is one you have to see in person!  They were still putting the finishing touches on the inside for the wedding they were to host a few weeks later, but we were able to walk around the grounds and found some gorgeous backdrops for photos.  Behind the barn is a large field, where the owners, Gene and Veronica, have set up wooden benches as an optional ceremony area.  They were also working on an outdoor reception area, which will be covered with hanging strung lights.  Inside the barn, the bridal dressing area had just been finished, and I loved all the details in there!  Thank you so much Gene and Veronica, for inviting us to see the magic that is happening at The Barn at Silver Oaks Estate.  I can’t wait to photograph there in October!  And thank you so much to our models, Dustin + Allison Tribou, and Kerry + Wayne Lewis!
