Mary and David met at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, 4 years ago.  They were engaged in March, and decided they wanted a summer wedding on the coast, which led them to finding a new wedding venue, Two Cove’s Farm in Harpswell, Maine.  Once they visited the Farm, they knew it would be the perfect place for them!

David and Mary chose to have their ceremony at their home church of St. John the Baptist Church in Brunswick, Maine. I hadn’t been there before, so when I walked in the front doors, I was blown away by the incredible architecture and grandeur of the church!  I just loved the various shades of lavender that the bridesmaids wore!  After the ceremony, we all headed over to Two Cove’s Farm, where the wedding coordinators, Terri and Sara of Lulu & Co. Event Design, had created an incredible space for the reception. A large white tent was set up in a large field, alongside chickens and sheep.  As we climbed through the grass, seeking the shade of the one lone tree in the middle of the field for the family formals, guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres under the tent, snapping pictures with the polaroid set out for the guestbook.  After stopping to get some pictures with the sheep, who were very curious about the bride and groom, we joined the guests for dinner, catered by French Picnic Catering.  I loved the setup of the food – everything looked so fresh and organic, and it tasted amazing too!  The tables were adorned with flowers, also designed by Lulu & Co. Event Design, along with homemade lavender soap for the guests to take home as favors.  Crickets were everywhere, which was fitting, because Mary is an Entomologist.  So I knew I had to incorporate them into the ring shots – scroll down to see the result!  Everyone enjoyed wedding PIE for dessert, since it’s a favorite of the bride and groom!  Once the afternoon started winding down, paper cones made out of sheet music were handed out, filled with dried lavender.  As Mary and David exited the Farm, the guests threw the dried lavender over them!  What a perfect coastal Maine summer wedding!  Thank you, Mary and David for trusting me to capture your wedding day!
