Bella had told me over the phone that she wanted to overall feel of her wedding to be “Springtime Pastels”, which made my floral heart sing! When I arrived to their venue in Nashua on that early June day, the temperatures were already rising, and the forecasts promised mid-summer heat. Bella was wearing her Mom’s wedding dress, which had been remade into a getting ready robe for her. I sported a fan hanging around my neck as I photographed the bridal details (some of my favorite to date!). Bella’s bridesmaids gifted her a special handmade book of photo memories and personal letters – thankfully before Bella’s makeup was done since she cried a lot when she was looking through it! Once Bella was in her gorgeous dress, her Dad didn’t even make it into the room before he saw her and starting crying. My favorite thing I heard him say was when he looked at his wife and said, “Look what we made!” as gesturing to his daughter.
Peter and Bella chose to do a first look out in the garden, surrounded by the prettiest soft light. I could tell Peter was full of nervous energy, he was so excited to see his bride! Once they finally got to see each other, they took a few minutes before we jumped into taking wedding party photos. As guests started to arrive, we hid the bride away and Peter started greeting guests. The ceremony also took place in the garden, overlooking the mountains and golf course. The ceremony was so sweet, and I honestly don’t think anyone minded how hot it was out! Peter and his groomsmen wore light gray suits and pink ties, while the bridesmaids wore pink dresses, with the maid of honor wearing a floral pink dress. The bride’s flowers were a cascading spring bouquet that really fit her vision of the day! The reception room was spacious and beautifully decorated with whites and various shades of blue. Simple white and green floral centerpieces adorned the tables, and guests were relieved to be in the air conditioning as the reception began. After some great speeches from the best man and maid of honor, a delicious dinner was served by the venue, followed by a great night of dancing! We ended the evening by taking the couple out to the golf course to get some sunset photos, as well as getting a few photos by the grand piano in the lobby.
Thank you so much, Bella and Peter, for trusting me to capture your special day! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Prescott!
Also, thank you to all the amazing vendors who made this day possible!
