I walked away from this wedding with a skip in my step and a big goofy grin on my face. There’s nothing like watching two people, who have known each other half their lives, come together in such pure happiness and joy.
Peter called me only a few weeks before the event, to find out my availability to photograph their wedding. I happened to have that particular Saturday open, which is rare during busy season! When I met him and Linda at a local cafe to go over all the details, I loved how simple and to the point everything was with them. Linda and Peter met 40 years ago, when Peter, who is a renewed architect, designed Linda’s house. They stayed in touch, and when they both found themselves single again, they ended up connecting a little over a year ago. I loved how they wanted to throw this big celebration with both of their families and their lifelong friends. They were married at their home church in Wayne, where they attend regularly, by their Pastor. Their reception venue was an easy choice, as Linda and Peter are active members at the Belgrade Lakes Golf Club. In fact, they even managed to fit in a game of golf that morning before the wedding! I had never been to the Belgrade Lakes Golf Club before, but let me tell you, I can’t wait to photograph another wedding there! There were jaw-dropping 360 degree views! Linda and Peter were so natural and comfortable during portraits, and they just couldn’t stop smiling all day! The kids played tag outside, while the adults tore up that dance floor, thanks to Double Platinum Celebrations! When it was time to leave, I was honestly a little sad to go. I feel so blessed to have been a small part of this beautiful day that I will never forget.
