A rustic, Fall wedding in the mountains of Maine with a treehouse-vibe reception for this sweet local couple! Forest green, burnt orange, and burgundy really add pops of color to this Autumn wedding!

Ashley and Jon met through mutual friends at a dinner 6 years ago. They live in Maine, and knew they wanted to have their wedding here. They love being outside with their dog, Wilbur, so they wanted to get married somewhere that really showcased the natural beauty of our statae. They chose the Jordan Hotel because of it’s stunning ceremony backdrop and surrounding mountain landscapes. The day of the wedding ended up being slightly overcast, and the foliage was really starting to show up that weekend!

Ashley and Jon are literally two of the sweetest people I think I’ve ever met. They’re honestly made for each other! They chose to do a first look under the Sunday River covered bridge, and then we went to the Sunday River Golf Course for a few more photos of just them before the ceremony. Pretty soon after Ashley’s Mom walked her down the aisle, it started sprinkling, and everyone was looking around and laughing, because I don’t think anyone expected it to rain at all that day! They barely made it through their vows as they held back their tears, and I loved watching their family’s faces during the ceremony. Everyone was just so happy for them!

Walking into the reception at the Jordan Hotel, everyone was blown away by the incredible tree designs made by Abby Garden Floral! They took branches from outside and created trees for centerpieces! Ashley had told me that the vibe of the wedding was woodsy, cozy, and intimate, and that she wanted to feel like she was in a treehouse, and oh my goodness, that’s exactly how it felt that day! After an amazing dinner catered by the venue and some heartfelt toasts by the wedding party, it was time to dance! In lieu of a Father/Daughter dance, there was a tribute dance to Ashley’s father, where the entire room got up and danced away to honor her Dad’s fun and lively spirit. The rest of the night was full of loud music, delicious desserts (maple bacon cupcakes and apple cider donuts being just a few!), and so many big smiles!
